Description
This kit uses a pair of chicken egg drop syndrome virus specific primers, combined with a specific fluorescent probe, to perform in vitro amplification and detection of chicken egg drop syndrome virus DNA using one-step fluorescent RT-PCR technology, for clinical pathogen diagnosis of suspected infectious materials.
Application
Egg drop syndrome (EDS), also known as egg drop syndrome 76 (EDS-76), is a type of egg drop syndrome in chickens. Egg drop syndrome virus (EDSV) belongs to the adenovirus family, avian adenovirus group III, and is an enveloped double stranded DNA virus that mainly causes an infectious disease characterized by the production of thin shelled or shell less eggs by laying birds, resulting in a significant decrease in egg production rate.
This kit is suitable for detecting chicken egg drop syndrome virus DNA in specimens such as fallopian tubes, uterine mucosa, ovaries, and cloaca swabs, and is suitable for auxiliary diagnosis of chicken egg drop syndrome virus infection.
Specimen collection
Kill suspected infected poultry, collect tissues such as fallopian tubes, uterine mucosa, ovaries, etc., and place them in sterile centrifuge tubes for future use.
Suspected reduced production of poultry, collect cloacal swabs, rotate the swabs deeply into the cloacal cavity at least 3 times and collect a small amount of feces.
