Description
This kit uses TaqMan probe method for real-time fluorescence PCR technology, designs a pair of primers specific for equine influenza virus, combines with a specific probe, and uses fluorescence PCR technology to amplify and detect the RNA of equine influenza virus in vitro, which is used for pathogen diagnosis of suspected infectious materials in clinical practice.
Application
Equine influenza virus (EIV) belongs to type A influenza virus and can cause acute upper respiratory tract infections in horses. The characteristic clinical symptoms are fever, anorexia, and persistent cough; And it can lead to miscarriage in the mare; Pathological manifestations include acute bronchitis and interstitial pneumonia, and secondary infections may manifest as bronchopneumonia [1-2]. This kit is suitable for auxiliary diagnosis of equine influenza virus, and its test results are for clinical reference only.
Specimen collection
Remove tissues such as larynx, trachea, brain, chest muscles, myocardium, and lungs from animals that have died of illness or been euthanized; Collect respiratory secretions or excreta from live animals to be tested using cotton swabs, and place them in 1mL of 50% glycerol physiological saline.
