Description
This kit uses TaqMan probe method for real-time fluorescence PCR technology. A pair of bovine adenovirus type 3 gene conserved region specific primers are designed, combined with a specific probe. The DNA of bovine adenovirus type 3 gene conserved region is amplified and detected in vitro using fluorescence PCR technology, which is used for pathogen diagnosis of suspected infected individuals in clinical practice.
Application
Bovine adenovirus type 3 (BAV-3) is one of the main pathogens causing respiratory diseases in cattle, especially in newborn calves. Clinical symptoms include fever, difficulty breathing, and discharge from the nasal cavity and conjunctiva. Pathological changes mainly occur in the lungs, with distinct lobular atrophy, emphysema, and mutations. Serological investigations indicate that the disease is widely distributed around the world, causing significant economic losses to the cattle industry.
This kit is suitable for detecting bovine adenovirus type 3 in samples such as lung tissue, respiratory tract, and eye and nose secretions, and is used for auxiliary diagnosis of bovine adenovirus type 3 infection.
Specimen collection
Hunting and killing cattle: Take 5g of lung lesion tissue; live cattle: Use a sterilized cotton swab to pick up the secretion from the cow's trachea or eyes and nose, and then place it in a centrifuge tube containing 0.5mL of physiological saline.
